WYSE State
On Wednesday, April 18th, Junior Laine Gholson competed at the state level for the WYSE competition in Computer Science. In this competition, he went against students from all over the state; including several from the private sector up in Chicago and in Peoria.
After a tense day of waiting, he was awarded 4th place out of the entire state. He will continue to study for next year, in hopes of taking the gold, and a $10,000 scholarship to the University of Illinois, Campaign/Urbana.
