By Miss Brittney Kugler
Hello, Everyone!
My name is Brittney Kugler, and I am writing to introduce myself as the new principal of West Central Middle School! I am beginning my 11th year as an educator and first year as a principal. I am from Macomb, Illinois and have earned an undergraduate degree and two graduate degrees from WIU. I am so excited to join the amazing team at West Central. Please refer to our "Office Information Page" to learn more about daily events going on at our building. Follow West Central Middle School on Facebook for more updates.
My goal as a principal is to collaborate with others at our school to create the highest-quality learning environment for our students. I aim to be visible and available during the school day and at school events in order to best support staff and students.
This year, our school goals include a focus on building positive relationships, student attendance, and supporting students in developing strong foundational academic skills. We can’t wait to see them grow! This year, we hope to find ways to involve students in academic goal-setting to help them invest in their own achievement. The adults in our building have set our expectations high for our students, and we know they will rise to meet them.
At West Central, we believe that a strong home/school connection is critical for a student’s success! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for trusting us to care for and teach your child while they are in our building.
Sincerely,
Miss Brittney Kugler
