The West Central Middle School Harry Potter Club raised money for the FOCC in Stronghurst.
On Halloween Day, the club sponsored a costume dress up event and Harry Potter Character Look-alike contest.
Students in the Middle School were allowed to wear a costume that day and pay $1.00 for the privilege. Students who dressed as a Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts Character were automatically entered in the contest. The winners took home $5.00 each. Winners of the contest were Franky - for his costume of Hagrid the Half Giant from the Harry Potter series, and Bradyn for his costume depicting a Dementor from the series.
The Club, known as Dumbledore’s Academy, raised $64.00 for the local Family Outreach Center in Stronghurst.
The FOCC serves the area with many programs and resources, and the Harry Potter Club members wanted to support their efforts and thank them for their work on behalf of our citizens.
