High School Art Club Field Trip

On Tuesday, April 30, 2019 the West Central High School Art Club visited Hot Glass Art Studio in Davenport, Iowa. During the visit, students were given a tour and a glass blowing demonstration by the owner Joel Ryser and his son Logan. Hot Glass is a non profit art studio that works closely with Veterans and at risk teens. Our students each assisted in the creation of their own glass sun catcher. We learned about a variety of well known glass artists, talked about different techniques, toured the facility and participated in a project. It was a wonderful experience for all of the students in attendance.
