2021 LTC Choral Festival
Every fall, the high school choral programs in the Lincoln Trails Conference come together to rehearse and perform a variety of music pieces selected by the conference music directors. Under the direction of a highly qualified musician, students are exposed to higher caliber arrangements and provided the opportunity to sing with over 200 other high school students.
Due to COVID-19, our students were unable to participate in the LTC choral festival in the fall of 2020, so many of our students have yet to experience singing challenging repertoire in a group of this size.
On Monday, November 1, we were back to making music with singers from 12 of the conference schools and West Central served as host. School participants began arriving at 1pm for a rigorous rehearsal from 1:30-5:10 pm and evening concert at 6:30 pm. Under the direction of Dr. Braeden Ayres, students rehearsed and performed seven selections ranging from classics like Danny Boy to gospel or bossanova pieces like Shut de do and Cantar!. It’s been over ten years since the LTC Choral Festival has taken place in Heat Nation and we are so proud that our students were able to participate in this unforgettable experience!
