Accelerated Reader (AR) at Home
Accelerated Reader At Home (West Central Elementary School only)
Accelerated reader is a comprehension and vocabulary based computer program that tests the children’s knowledge of books read. Your child picks a book at his/her own level and reads it at his/her own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer. By passing the quiz it’s an indication that your child understood what was read. As a result, he/she will earn points to reach their goal which is set by his/her teacher.

Your child will not be able to take tests for books which are not in the system.
