Escaped Just in Time!

4th/5th Grade Student & Guest Program

2025-2026 School Year

What do detritivores eat? Which animals use camouflage to fool prey and predators? These questions and many others were answered by 4th and 5th grade students and their guests at West Central Elementary’s recent program on February 9, 2026. 

4th graders focused on animal adaptations and 5th graders explored animal food webs. Students and guests had to answer questions, solve riddles, and decode clues to “break out” of their classrooms! Many groups practiced the “try, try again” strategy to find the correct answers. 

A sweet treat was awarded to those who found the facts and “broke out!”
