West Central students and families had to “break out” of their classrooms during this year’s 2nd and 3rd grade parent escape room program.
2nd graders and families had to answer butterfly fact questions and solve the codes to “break out!” They answered questions about the life cycle of a butterfly including the amazing metamorphosis stage from chrysalis to butterfly.
Meanwhile, 3rd grade students and families had some tricky questions about mammal and bird classification. Did you know that many birds swim (those who live by the water and penguins, of course!) while some mammals lay eggs (platypus and echidna)?
After some fun and a little frustration, all students and families used their brain power to “break out” of their classrooms!
