WIU Middle School Honor Band
2024-2025 School Year
On Friday, November 22, 2024, seven West Central Middle School students were nominated and selected for the inaugural Middle School Honor Band which was held for the first time at Western Illinois University College of Fine Arts and Communication & School of Music.
This concert was conducted by Professor Anneliese Land and consisted of 60 students from a total of 10 schools. The students spent the day rehearsing for the concert that was held later that day at 6:00p.m. They also learned valuable lessons from college students during sectionals, short performances by WIU ensembles, and group activities hosted by WIU music education majors.
WCMS students included Roland Armitage, Lauren Hinshaw, Kelse Klees, Brady Lenahan, Addalyn McSparen, Liam Sullivan, and Mariah Wood.
We are so proud of our students and thank WIU for hosting this event for our students.
