--American Muscle Student Scholarship Program (Deadline: 10/15/2019)
Must be pursuing an automotive themed major. Can apply in Fall- deadline: Oct 15, and Spring- deadline: June 15. Those students who have exceptional drive and ambition should submit a 700-1500 word essay to scholarships@americanmuscle.com telling us who you are and how you plan on using your automotive education to incite positive change and innovation within the custom car industry. All entries must be submitted as a PDF or Microsoft Word document to be eligible for consideration and must also be accompanied by proof of current enrollment in an accredited United States college or university.

--The Reedsy National Creative Writing Scholarship (Deadline: 10/21/2019)
Value of Scholarship: $1000 biannually
Number of Scholarships Available: 1 cash, 5 sponsorship opportunities for the fall semester award
Requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in a college or graduate program in the United States, Canada, or Australia. Applicants must have completed the first chapter of a novel they are currently writing, or have written but not published, to submit for review .Each submission should be 1,000-7,500 words and accompanied by a short synopsis from the author. -- Voice of Democracy, VFW Scholarship (Deadline: 10/31/2019)
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ premier scholarship program. Each year, nearly 40,000 high school students compete for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by writing and recording an auto essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme is, “What Makes American Great.”
Prizes/Scholarships can be awarded at the post, district, state, and national level. State winners receive an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C to tour the city, be honored, and receive their portion of $154,000 in national awards- the top scholarship being $30,000.

Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. --NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (Deadline: 11/5/2019)
The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors 9th-12th grade students who self-identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and plans for post-secondary education. Since 2007, nearly 14,000 students have received an Award for AiC.

--Hagan Scholarship (Deadline: 11/15/19)
Helping rural students graduate debt free.
Criteria: Student must be a resident of the United States; must attend an eligible high school; must be a student in the high school graduating class; must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, must score a 24 on the ACT or higher or 1150 or higher on the SAT; must enroll at an eligible four year college or university the fall semester following high school graduation; must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college; must complete the FAFSA in 2019 and have an EFC of less than $6,500; must apply for eligible Federal and State grants; must not have been convicted of a felony.
