Scholarship and College/Career Readiness Updates

These are updated regularly - please check periodically for new scholarships/information

For any first-year, full-time NEIU student who meets the requirements listed below, we are covering the costs of tuition beginning Fall 2022 after all federal, state, institutional, internal/external scholarships and grants have been applied.

NEIU For You Criteria

To be considered for NEIU For You, a prospective student must:

• Be an Illinois resident who attended an Illinois high school
• Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0
• Have an annual adjusted gross family income of $60,000 or less and family assets of $50,000 or less
• Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  (Undocumented students may complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid instead of FAFSA)
• Be admitted to Northeastern as an incoming first-time, full-time freshman enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester

Some of these schools may be either requiring the vaccine or weekly testing. You will have to check with the school to verify.

All scholarships are also posted outside of the Counseling office (outside of the gym) and on the Class of 2022 Google Classroom.

 

January 2022

Jacob Bouxsein Memorial

Due Date: 01/15/2022

Requirements: Must live in IL in our county (or several others).

Qualifications: Enroll Full-time at a college or trade school. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA and provide proof.

 

February 2022

IAA Foundation

Due Date: 02/15/2022   

Amount: $1000-7500     

Requirements: See different scholarships for criteria (online)

Qualifications: 82 scholarships, but you can only receive one. Sara C. Andrews, Vincent O. Greene, William J. Kuhfuss are likely the only ones anyone would qualify for.

 

CBAI Foundation for Community Banking  

Due Date: 02/28/2022

Requirements: Application and essay

Qualifications: Senior in HS. Open statewide.

 

Raritan State Bank

Requirements: (Same application and essay as the CBAI Scholarship, they are just giving out one local scholarship as well)

Qualifications: Senior at WCHS.

 

Henderson County Republican Women’s Club

Evelyn K. Titus Memorial

Qualifications: Warren County Senior, major in Ag or Family & Consumer Sciences. One male, one female. Proof of college acceptance.

 

Townships of Illinois

Qualifications: Senior applying to an IL college or university. History of extracurricular activities that demonstrate a willingness to accept leadership responsibilities.

 

Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Foundation

Qualifications: Senior going into ag or agri-business, a parent/guardian must be Farm Bureau member. SAT scores and transcript needed. 2 letters of recommendation – 1 teacher, 1 character reference. Photo needed as well.
