Below is a list of the current scholarships that I am aware of and that are currently live. More will be available as the year progresses. Stop by my office if you have questions.
The new Leatherneck Visitor Scholarship gives incoming (accepted) freshmen and transfers a one-time $1,000 award if they attend an on-campus WIU Undergraduate Admissions event, such as Discover Western, daily campus tour, Welcome Wednesday or Experience Western program. --Hagan Scholarship (Deadline: 11/15/19)
Helping rural students graduate debt free.
Criteria: Student must be a resident of the United States; must attend an eligible high school; must be a student in the high school graduating class; must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, must score a 24 on the ACT or higher or 1150 or higher on the SAT; must enroll at an eligible four year college or university the fall semester following high school graduation; must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college; must complete the FAFSA in 2019 and have an EFC of less than $6,500; must apply for eligible Federal and State grants; must not have been convicted of a felony.

--Stokes Educational Scholarship Program (Deadline: 11/15/19)
The National Security Agency (NSA) is currently accepting applications from across the country for the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program. This tuition assistance program is looking for high school seniors, particularly minorities, who are interested in pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering. Selected participants in the Stokes Program receive an annual salary and receive up to $30,000 for tuition and mandatory educational fees per academic year. A position in the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program means you will attend classes full-time at the college of your choice in the U.S., and then work during the summer at NSA for a minimum of 12 weeks in areas that are related to your course of study.

--Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarships (Deadline: 11/30/2019)
Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented). Recipients must also be available to attend the 37th USHLI National Conference in Chicago, IL, from February 20-22, 2020. --National Space Club Scholarship (Deadline: 11/30/2018)
In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $10,000. This scholarship is awarded to a U.S. citizen, and is open to seniors in High School through graduate students studying at an accredited educational institution in the United States, who has definite plans to pursue a career in the STEM fields, be academically strong, and excel in public speaking.

--Sixt Scholarship Program (Deadline: 11/30/2019)
Sixt rent a car is pleased to offer five high school seniors graduating in 2019 the opportunity to receive a $5,000 scholarship and become a Sixt scholar. The program is designed to assist high school students who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice. The Sixt Scholars Program is available to high school seniors graduating in the academic year of 2019/2020. The scholarship will also take into consideration other factors such as financial need and extracurricular activities. --Western Illinois Presidential Scholarship (Deadline: 12/1/2019)
The Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious award offered at Western Illinois University. Awards are determined by a selection committee that considers academic merit, demonstrated leadership ability and community engagement as factors in the selection process. Presidential Scholars receive scholarships to cover full tuition, student fees, a double residence hall room and meal plan not covered by other scholarships.Meet freshmen admission requirements for the Centennial Honors College, Enroll in the Centennial Honors College, Demonstrated leadership ability and community engagement, 3.0+ GPA, 1360+ SAT or 30+ ACT score, must be going to WIU. --Burger King Scholars Program (Deadline: 12/15/2019)
The BURGER KINGâ„ Scholars program assists employees, employees' spouses or domestic partners, employees' children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $35 million in scholarships to more than 33,000 students. Last year alone, $3.7 million in scholarships were awarded to more than 3,400 deserving students.

--Porch Skilled Trade and Technology Scholarship (Open October-December 2019)
Growing demand and lack of qualified workers in skilled trades and technology means it’s a great time to go back to school and enter these lucrative and fast-growing industries. To help keep up with demand and assist the next generation of professionals, Porch will award a $3,000 scholarship twice a year to eligible students. You must be 18 years or over and currently be enrolled as a high school senior, or in a community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program, or be planning to enroll in a high school, community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program during the 2019-2020 academic program in the United States. You must have a minimum 3.4 GPA.
You must be pursuing a degree that enables you or others in your community to learn a new trade, develop skills and technology, or start a small business related to home services offered by Porch.

--Golden Apple Scholars Program (Priority Deadline: 12/15/2019, open until April 2020)
The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program for high school seniors, and first- and second-year Illinois college students who have the determination and drive to be excellent teachers in Illinois schools-of-need. Scholars Receive: Tuition assistance, up to $23,000, Paid Scholar Institutes that include courses and extensive classroom/work experience, Academic and social-emotional support, Job placement assistance, Mentoring from our award-winning teaching faculty. Eligibility Requirements include: Planning to go into the teaching field, US Citizen or DACA student, and resident of IL, 2.5 minimum GPA, qualifying standardized test score*SAT- 1110 with 26 on Writing/Language portion

Notes:
Monmouth College has eliminated requiring test scores as an admission standard. However, if your test scores are high, and you feel they would help your chances of admission/scholarships you are still encouraged to send them with your transcript/list on application.
Western Illinois University: has revised its admissions criteria for students applying to Western for 2020. Students with a high school diploma and a 3.3 or higher high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) will be automatically admitted to WIU. Students with a GPA less than 3.3, but at least 2.0, will be requested to submit SAT/ACT scores for admissions consideration.
Students should be applying for colleges, and checking early deadlines (typically early Dec./Jan.). It is not too early to start applying! It is also a good time to start asking for letters of recommendation. Most scholarships want at least 2 letters of recommendation.
