Last Day for Meal Distribution

Good afternoon West Central Family,
It has been our pleasure to provide meals to over 300 students during this mandated school closure. We hope you have found it helpful. For the 2019-2020 school year, our last meal distribution day will be Thursday, May 21. We are happy to inform you that FOCC will be providing lunch meals free of charge in some format during the summer in both Stronghurst and Oquawka. All students of West Central C.U.S.D. #235 can participate in their summer meal program (Lunch Pals) regardless of your ability to pay or where you live in the District. When their plans are finalized, we will share that information with you.
Today, we also shared an opportunity for financial assistance for meals through the Pandemic EBT Benefits Program. Please see the email sent earlier today, our District website, or our District Facebook page for more information.
Also, FOCC has asked that I remind all of you that they are still open and have a stocked food pantry if your family is in need of food items. You may contact Julia Bell to set up a time to go in by emailing her at jmeloanbell@hotmail.com.
