Important Remote Learning Reminders and Updated Deadlines
Reminders and New Deadline Information
- Remote learning for all students begins tomorrow, January 7, 2021, and continues through Friday, January 15, 2021. All West Central Middle School and West Central High School students are expected to be online with each of their classes using the same schedule as their in-person learning schedule. This information has been communicated to students by their teachers and administrators. All students should be certified via Skyward by 7:30 a.m. each school day.
- The previous in-person instruction schedule with a 12:15 p.m. dismissal will resume on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
- Since the return to in-person instruction date was pushed back to January 19, 2021, we have extended the deadline for notification of transportation request changes for 2nd semester. If you need to change your child’s transportation, please notify the office of the building where your child attends by noon on Friday, January 8. Transportation arrangements put into place on Tuesday, January 19 cannot be changed and will remain the same until the end of the school year. As before, students are only allowed to ride one bus.
- We have also extended the deadline for notification to return to in-person instruction. If your child was remote learning 2nd quarter, and you wish for them to return to in-person instruction 3rd quarter, please notify the office of the building where your child attends by noon on Friday, January 8. Once remote learning is selected, the student must remain a remote learner until 4th quarter before he/she can return to in-person instruction.
