Retirement Spotlight #3
Please join me in honoring and thanking our next Retirement Spotlight, Mrs. Renee Russell. Mrs. Russell has served the Southern/West Central School Districts. We asked each of our retirees a few questions. Below is Mrs. Russell's story:
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Monmouth College and my Masters of Library Science from Texas Woman's University. I taught Jr. High/Middle School social studies for 19 years (with Southern and then after consolidation) before transferring to the library at West Central.
My advice is to develop patience and try to find something good that happened each day.
I really enjoyed coaching Jr. High Speech and Scholastic Bowl and working with several fun and talented students. I also had the experience of having my own daughter in the classroom. There is nothing like having your own teaching critic in the family.
I am looking forward to spending time gardening, working on photography, and snuggling with our beagles."
Thank you, Mrs. Russell, for your service and dedication to the Southern and West Central School Districts! Enjoy the next few months and a well deserved retirement! You will be missed!
